Compatible applications
Residential A/C
Split and packaged cooling systems installed from roughly 2005 onward.
Heat pumps
Air-source heat pumps rated for high-pressure R-410A operation.
Light commercial
Rooftop units, ducted splits and small chillers.
Before you order
R-410A runs materially higher pressures than R-22. Use gauges, hoses and recovery equipment rated for it, and never charge R-410A into equipment designed for R-22.
Charge liquid phase only. Because R-410A is a blend, vapour charging can shift composition and leave the system off-spec.
Safe handling
- Verify the equipment nameplate specifies R-410A and note the approved charge before connecting.
- This system requires POE (polyol ester). Mixing incompatible lubricants causes compressor failure.
- Charge in the liquid phase only — vapour charging shifts the composition of a blend.
- Use gauges, hoses and recovery equipment rated for this refrigerant’s operating pressures.
- Store upright and secured, in a cool, dry, ventilated area away from heat, sparks and open flame.
- Recover refrigerant — knowingly venting is a violation of Clean Air Act Section 608.
Shipping
