Compatible applications
Ductless mini-splits
Single and multi-zone systems nameplated for R-32.
VRF systems
Variable refrigerant flow equipment approved for A2L charge.
Modern heat pumps
Inverter-driven residential and light-commercial units.
Before you order
Being a pure compound, R-32 can be topped up in the vapour phase without composition drift — a practical advantage over blends during service.
It runs hotter at the compressor discharge than R-410A. Watch superheat and discharge temperature closely on long line sets.
Safe handling
- Verify the equipment nameplate specifies R-32 and note the approved charge before connecting.
- This system requires POE (polyol ester). Mixing incompatible lubricants causes compressor failure.
- As a pure compound this refrigerant will not fractionate, so vapour top-up is acceptable.
- A2L classified: use flammable-rated recovery, gauges, vacuum pump and leak detection, with ventilation and ignition-source control.
- Store upright and secured, in a cool, dry, ventilated area away from heat, sparks and open flame.
- Recover refrigerant — knowingly venting is a violation of Clean Air Act Section 608.
Shipping
